Every month, women worldwide experience a natural rhythm; their monthly cycle.
What if your monthly cycle could spark a lasting change? UNHCR wanted to promote regular giving to help refugee women worldwide access basic feminine hygiene products, turning a donor's monthly cycle into monthly, life-changing support.
I designed and illustrated a set of affirmation cards sent to donors each month as a thank-you, each pairing a photograph of a real refugee woman making an impact in her community with a short affirmation in her own words.
Through lots of iteration, I landed on two versions, a soft, gradient-led design with muted colour and quiet editorial type. The second was a bolder graphic system of saturated pink
and yellow, dot patterns, and rounded type.
